Q + A

Q: RSVP?

A: Don't be that guy or girl or whatever. Please RSVP at your earliest convenience, but absolutely no later than February 8, 2025. If you don't RSVP, we will have to assume you aren't coming. You won't be on the seating chart, we won't have food for you, it will be a mess.

Even if you talk to the happy couple every day and assume they know you're coming, take the time to make it official, either by sending back the convenient card in your invitation package or via this website.

Q: Kids or Plus-Ones?

A: This will be a child-free day. Please come and enjoy some adult time. We have carefully curated our guest list and request that only the people specifically invited attend. Should you feel we've missed someone important, or your significant other isn't included, please contact us and we may work something out.

Q: Parking?

A: There's lots of free parking on-site. For those staying at Staybridge Suites across the street, parking is free and it's literally right across the street (admittedly, you'll have to walk up the hill, but it's still a short walk).

Q: Hotel?

A: Speaking of the Staybridge, we've reserved a block of rooms at the Staybridge Suites Denver South - Highlands Ranch across the street. Reservations must be made by February 6. Any rooms not reserved by that date will be released to the unwashed masses at the regular Staybridge rate. See the hotel tab for complete... completer details. And the link for the discounted room block.

Q: Indoor or Outdoor?

A: It's March. In Denver.

We really want to get married on the lovely patio, looking out over our beloved mountains... but with the odds of snow, we have a backup plan to bring it inside. If it's colder than (say) 50 degrees, snowing, raining, or windy, we'll bring it indoors. Otherwise, plan to be outside for a half-hour or so.

For those into spiky heels, we won't be on grass, so wear those stilettos. You go, girl.

Q: Food?

A: There will be lots! Appetisers during cocktail hour, buffet lunch with numerous options. There will be gluten free, vegetarian, and nut-free options. If you have other requirements, please let us know ASAP.

NEW! The menu has been added to the page conveniently marked "Menu," for your snack-planning needs.

Q: Dress Code?

A: Semi-formal attire: We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress or dressy separates for women and a suit and tie or button-up shirt (maybe with a sports coat) for men.

(At least do your best to look nice)

Q: Timeline?

A: The ceremony will begin promptly at noon. Anyone arriving after noon will be asked to remain in the lobby until the ceremony is over. The doors will open at 11:30, so please feel free to come a little early.

After the ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour. Drinks and apps will be available, along with a niche activity (did somebody say, "cigar bar?" - don't forget to pick up your souvenir matches to take home, even if you don't want to smoke with the big boys)

After the cocktail hour, we'll gather in the main room for a buffet lunch. There will be a couple of brief toasts, cake cutting, first dance, then on to the shake-your-tailfeathers portion of the afternoon.

The wedding will conclude at 6 pm with a grand exit.

Q: Phones?

A: OK, maybe you weren't going to ask this, but as long as we're going over the details, we will have a completely unplugged ceremony. We are hiring professional photographers and videographers to capture the magic of this moment in our lives. We really want you to be present for the solemn part of the day, plus we don't want to see guest's phones in our photos and videos.

We ask that phones be silenced and put away from the time you sit until you're set free for cocktail hour.

Once cocktail hour starts, whip that phone out and take whatever photos you want (if the photogs or servers ask you to get out of the way, please do).

Keep an eye out for QR codes at the venue that will allow you to share your fine art with us and the rest of the wedding guests.

Q: Registry?

A: We have a registry via The Knot linked to this website. It has all kinds of good stuff, should you want to gift us something. Please see the registry page if this appeals to you.

FAQ:

Commerce City. The couple will be living in Commerce City.

Marin is keeping her last name for legal expediency, but will cheerfully answer to "Mrs Spalding."

Robert is also keeping his last name. He may answer to "Mr Untiedt," should you wish to try it.
